Mark IV Line Isolation Monitor is a solid state, non-switching LIM designed to continuously measure the impedence between the secondary conductors of an isolated power system and ground. This impedence measurement is processed through the Mark IV solid-state circuitry and displayed on an ammeter. No switching circuitry is used that could generate interference on physiological monitors. The Mark IV is the self-testing, self-calibrating LIM.

A Dual Secondary Voltage Isolated Transformer is available when 120 and 208 voltages are required from the same isolation transformer. The 208 volt winding will be for the remote Laser or X-ray receptacle. 15 KVA is the maximum size for combine secondary windings of 120 and 208 volt. Specify the KVA of each winding. New Model number is SFP Dual Winding.

The Mark IV is designed for an internal leakage current of less than 15 microamperes. It will alarm when the total hazard current (THC) reaches 5 milliamperes as stipulated by the National Electrical Code and NFPA 99 "Health Care Facilities." When the THC is less than 5 mA, a green light is illuminated indicating normal conditions. If the THC reaches 5 mA, a red light illuminates and a buzzer sounds indicating an alarm. The Mark IV has a silence switch to quiet the buzzer and a test switch for periodic testing of the LIM circuitry. The Mark IV will also detect and signal an alarm if the ground connection to the LIM is broken.

The Mark IV is recognized under UL Standard 1022.

    Isolation Transformer is a single phase, stacked-core type with electrostatic shield. The standard transformer ratings available are: KVA — 3, 5, 7-1/2, 10, 15; primary voltage — 120, 208, 220, 240, 277, 480; secondary voltage — 110 or 120. The maximum leakage current is 10 microamperes for 3 and 5KVA and 14 microamperes for 7-1/2 KVA. 25-30 microamperes for 10 and 15KVA.

Circuit Breakers are two pole in accordance with Code requirements. Up to 16 breakers can be furnished with main breaker.

Receptacles may be 23000HG twist lock, 8300-R duplex or 8310 single parallel blade and hospital grade.

Digital Clock and Timer is specifically designed for hospital application. The large digits are easy to read and the bright display can be clearly seen even in a highly illuminated operating room. The digital display is a red LED unit with four 2.7" high digits. Solid-state circuitry provides precise and reliable timekeeping for both time of day and elapsed time indication. The timer controls mount on the front of the panel and consist of COUNT/HOLD and RESET switches. No batteries are required since both use capacitor back up to hold memory for up to three minutes.

X-Ray Film Viewer is a double unit with uniform illumination. Positive film grip is provided across the entire width of the viewer. Viewer is activated by a switch located directly below the viewer.

A Grounded Power System may be incorporated into the SFP with single pole circuit breakers. This allows the provision to add an isolation transformer, line isolation monitor and a double pole breaker panel if required later.

An AM/FM Cassette or AM/FM CD Player is available with two 6" speakers.

Enclosure consists of a three-piece assembly — back box, chassis and front trim. The back box is constructed of #12 gauge galvanized steel and is flush mounted into the wall. The chassis is mounted inside the back box and supports electrical components such as the isolated transformer, reference ground bus and terminal blocks for field wiring. The front trim is constructed of #12 gauge 304 stainless steel, polished to a #4 satin finish. The LIM, clock and timer, film viewers and accessory panels are mounted on the front trim.
